TODAY IN HISTORY – APRIL 28TH  

1956 – Born this day, Jimmy Barnes.  Former lead singer for Australian rock band, Cold Chisel and forged successful solo career after the band split up in the mid 1980’s.

1987 - On a plane that was returning to Boston, from Miami, Ozzy Osbourne bought three rounds of drinks and sang "Crazy Train" over the PA system.

1989 - Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley were married. They had been high school sweethearts.

1999 - The Verve announced that the band members had mutually agreed to break up the band.

2007 – It was on this date that Boy George, whose real name is George O’Dowd, allegedly chained a 28 year old man to a wall at his London home.  The 47 year old George, was later charged by police  after the man accused him of “false imprisonment and common assault”.  He was released on bail and scheduled to appear in court on November 22nd.
