Trudie Styler grew up in a relatively poor, working-class background. Her father worked in a lampshade factory and wanted her to work to help support the family after she graduated from high school. But Trudie had other plans. She dreamed of becoming an actress and ran away from home at 17 years old. She was eventually accepted into the Bristol Old Vic Theater School. Trudie then landed acting parts on TV and in theatre, and she also had a year-long stint with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
In the early 1980s, Trudie met rock star Sting, who was then lead singer of the Police. Sting and Trudie became romantically involved and Trudie was blamed for the breakup of Sting's first marriage to actress Frances Tomelty. Trudie became Sting's live-in lover for 10 years and had three kids with Sting before they officially married in 1992 in an elaborate ceremony. Sting and Trudie reportedly married because their kids were embarrassed over their parents not being a legal husband and wife, and the kids were tired of being teased about it.
Since becoming involved with Sting, Trudie has acted in or produced several films, including The Grotesque (also known as Gentlemen Don't Eat Poets), in which she co-starred with Sting. She has also become a well-known environmentalist and activist, most notably devoting her time to the Rainforest Foundation and other causes. Trudie and Sting are also heavily into yoga (they own a yoga facility in New York) and Tantric meditation. (In one famous interview, Sting said Tantric meditation allowed him to have sex 'for hours'.) Trudie, Sting, and their four children reside mainly at their two homes in England; they also have homes in New York and Los Angeles.

1999 - Matchbox 20 singer Rob Thomas married model Marisol Maldonado. Marisol appeared in the Santana video 'Smooth' with Thomas.
2002 - Adam Ant escaped a prison sentence after a judge ruled that an incident in which he threatened drinkers with a replica pistol in a London pub was a result of mental illness. The 1980s pop-star had been voluntarily having psychiatric treatment since the incident.
2002 - Robbie Williams signed the biggest British record deal in history when he signed with EMI records for £80 million. Asked what he was going to do with money Robbie said, 'I'm going to count it all'.
2003 - A pair of trousers worn in 1984 by the late Queen star Freddie Mercury were sold to the Hard Rock Cafe for £4,230 at a Christie's auction of pop memorabilia held in London, England. A wooden sculpture of a cupboard, designed by John Lennon, claimed the highest price of the day, £28,200. Hundreds of items related to the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and Madonna also went under the hammer at the sale.

2006 – It is revealed that pop star, George Michael, was arrested and cautioned after being found once again slumped over the wheel of his car in London and in possession of cannabis. It had happened the previous day at 3.22am. It was the 43 year olds fourth motoring incident in 8 months.
2007 – A judge ordered Britney Spears to hand her children over to her ex-husband, Kevin Federline until further notice. The same judge ordered Spears 2 weeks prior to undergo random drug testing and to hire a parenting coach after finding evidence of “habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol” by her.
2008 – New Zealand Musical Theatre legend, Rob Guest, dies in the early hours of the morning after suffering a massive stroke less than 48 hours beforehand. Guest was best known for his role as the Phantom in “Phantom of the Opera” which he played for 7 years.
2008 - Pink went to No.1 on the UK album chart with ‘Funhouse’ the singer’s fourth studio album. The album's original title was 'Heartbreak is a Motherfucker'.
